I'm a zombie - 4/1/09  I felt kind of funny last night but I didn't think much of it - I figured I'd just enjoyed too much bull penis bully stix or something.. so imagine my surprise when I woke up to discover a flesh-eating zombie doggie looking back at me from the mirror!I'm an accepting kind of doggie and have been learning to adapt to this new change of lifestyle, but a few have asked how this could have happened? I'm certainly no expert, but I suspect it has something to do with Earth Hour the other night, where some persons shifted from earth-threatening electricity to earth-threatening battery power for about the length of a nice nap.. that began in places like Australia and then spread to the rest of the world as the sunshiney moved along As I understand it, somebody didn't go back to normal electricity the right way or something, and the next thing you know there was a huge blackout in Sydney and zombies were running amok in that city.. I know it sounds like some silly April Fool joke, but this was real! For one thing, it happened in March You can look up how it unfolded in Sydney on Twitter (go back a few hundred pages to see how widespread it got), and other reliable sources like PC World and The Wrap (note the tweet quoted there about killing zombies by "hitting them with repeated social media marketing tips" was really by my person neonplasma but some eejit doesn't know how to retweet properly) Anyway, I figure the post-Earth Hour relighting-the-lights-gone-wrong traveled around the world just like Earth Hour did, but by the time the zombies wiped out Sydney, either nobody much cared since it was old news by then or they were busy fighting off and/or becoming zombies themselves to talk about it much And then it finally arrived here on the left edge of North America, and I woke up like this.. I know I don't look as perfectly gorgeously beautiful as usual, but otherwise it's not so bad: being a canine type of zombie, flesh-eating comes naturally to me anyway, and in comparison with everything else, worrying about where I poop has become a very minor concern - as it should be Happy bitey, everyone - and happy April Fool's Day! current blogs - newer than this - older than this - leave or read comments  |
